What Raise an Anomaly speed is
Raise an Anomaly speed is the movement stat community wikis tie to a treadmill in the lab. The official store page never prints the word treadmill. It does tell you to steal eggs and run a lab, which only works if you can reach the egg and survive the return.
This page owns the Speed / treadmill keyword. Zone names stay on the zones page; this page is about getting fast enough to use those zones.
The treadmill (community)
Community coverage describes a treadmill you upgrade and stand on to raise Speed. Videos in search results talk about the same idea: get faster, then steal farther.
Because we have not logged a treadmill UI timestamp, upgrade costs and Speed-per-click values are blank. Buy Speed when a zone steal fails because you cannot arrive or cannot leave — not because a spreadsheet said so.

Speed versus growth speed
Do not mix this page with the X2 GROWTH SPEED gamepass. That pass’s official blurb is “Eggs grow 2x faster!” It is an egg timer multiplier, not your run speed.
Character Speed is what this wiki means by Raise an Anomaly speed. Egg growth belongs on the eggs, food, and gamepasses pages.

When to train Speed
Train Speed when the steal you want is physically out of reach, or when guardians catch you on the way home. If you can already complete the crib steal, feed first so the lab pays for the treadmill.
The planner will tell you the same split: low Speed + a higher-zone goal means treadmill; low income means food and lab.
Speed during the New Zone
The 16 September 2026 New Zone is the first official reason to care about Speed beyond the starting crib. If community reports are right, under-trained Speed is why players bounce off the new steal.
Admin Abuse on 19 September 2026 may change spawn rules for a short window. Still bring Speed; events do not replace a stat the rest of the week needs.
What we will not publish yet
No Speed breakpoint table, no Robux-free “best treadmill path,” and no copied numbers from other wikis. When a treadmill panel is captured, this page gets a table.
Until then, the test is in-game: if the zone is reachable and the return is survivable, Speed is high enough for that steal.
